Is Obesity Bias Evolutionary?

Not directly related to paleo diets, but an interesting article none the less. Dr. David Katz explains his theory on why we humans, as a group don’t like obese people. ᅠHis arguments are compelling and thought provoking.ᅠ

You likely know — from innumerable sources, my rants among them — that obesity is epidemic among children and adults alike, and counts among the most urgent of public health threats in the modern world. While the U.S. remains the epicenter of this slow-motion disaster, its scope and toll are increasingly global.

Since we’ve not always had this bias, I am not sure you could call it evolutionary. ᅠI would say that it is a cultural or societal bias.ᅠ
